As the following research is being carried out on students at the University of Palermo to show why young people abuse "cell phones". With the aim of highlighting the physical and psychological effects that cell phone overuse has been causing as of today, cell phones have become a growing demand worldwide thanks to their easy access, both economical and luxurious.

So I want to highlight the negative aspects of these when using them as they are not only used for receiving and making calls but also for listening to music, sending text messages, going online, recording, taking photos.

It consists in knowing how good these mentioned advantages are, what the mobile phone offers us, what technology offers us and how well young people are using this modern device that has become a mass medium of communication.

It is carried out through a qualitative survey in which some young people selected as the target of this survey are followed, the observation method is applied for a certain period of time, and the method of interview is applied.
